Schedule
Our conference in Antwerp has 2 days of talks (single track), and 2 workshop days, with plenty of friendly side events before and after the event. All of them have one thing in common: wonderful speakers and practical takeaways!
The conference will explore design systems, usability, inclusive design, UX research, product design, enterprise UX and design systems. We’ll also explore uncharted territory: from age-friendly and environment-friendly design to privacy UX and remote collaboration.
I got to hear from people who are the best at what they do in the web industry—authors, creative directors, researchers, and so much more. It was an exceptional line-up!
Excited to join, but your manager needs a little more persuasion? Check Convince Your Boss PDF and a Letter For The Boss. Good luck! 🤞🤞🏼🤞🏾

Welcome 🌄
We can’t wait to welcome you for two days of practical talks.
Design System Traps & Pitfalls
Working with design systems in Figma is not an easy task, and since people are people, we make mistakes. Some are small, while others can have a significant impact, affecting accessibility, adoption, scalability, and the sanity of the teams that uses the system.
In her talk, Molly will go into the most common mistakes, and how to avoid or fix them.
How AI Ate My Website
The number of websites, articles, videos, images, PDFS and more has grown exponentially since the web started over 30 years ago. In order to use this volume of content, people generally search or browse it. However, the advances in artificial intelligence (AI) models now enable different ways of interacting with websites.
In his talk, Luke will show how these models influence UX behaviour, and what happened when AI ate his website.
Lunch Break 🥗
Go for a nice stroll in the city and enjoy some fries or a more healthy option ;-). There are also wonderful options not too far from the venue, we've listed our favorites on a map.
We'll also be offering two catered lunch sessions by Storyblok & Supernova, learn more and register a spot!
A Journey in Enterprise UX
“Ugly”, “hard to use”: many enterprise tools used daily have a bad reputation and suffer from poor design. There’s a giant potential for improvement for the courageous designer, ready to embrace complexity.
Stéphanie will detail her UX research process for the redesign of an enterprise tool used daily by 1000+ internal users: the challenges it had to overcome and opportunities uncovered. Discover why she actually enjoyed working in Enterprise UX, what surprised her when she started, and how to grow in such environments. So, let's improve employees' tools!
Designing a Product with a Point of View
A great digital product is more than usable. It also has a unique personality, voice, and perspective about the world. Every interaction is an opportunity to build a brand.
In his talk, Nick will explain the secrets to designing a product that stands out. With advice about how to structure your UI, how to design your content, and how to write more thoughtfully.
Afternoon Break 🧃
The Invisible Power of UI Typography
Text is an essential part of every user interface. However, many apps seem to neglect that. This results in a lost opportunity for branding at least (looking at you, Roboto) and bad UX at worst.
Typography to the rescue! After this entertaining and inspiring talk, you will be having practical guidelines, how to better pick and use typefaces for your next UI design. So you can let the uniqueness of your project shine, without losing its functionality.
Trends To Live and Die For
Futurism, retro futurism, maximalism, brutalism, Neo Brutalism, skeuomorphism, Neumorphism, corporate Memphis, 3D shapes, type-heavy layouts, parallax galore, grid obsessed, pill shape buttons, mirror buttons, flat buttons, circles and quircles, websites that now look like Linear but before used looked like Stripe.
Designers live in a tornado of ever changing trends and design references. However trends come as fast as they go and can make your design decisions feel quickly dated and heavily influenced.
Join Claudio in this talk as he looks beyond design trends and focus on the trends that shape design. This is not a design talk, but it certainly is a talk for designers.

Everyone is welcome, it'll be a gentle jog to stretch our legs and chat with friends, not a race.

Mystery Speaker
Make sure you join us in the morning for the Mystery Speaker! You don’t want to miss this! We tried to write a pun here about a font, but it didn’t have enough ‘weight’ to carry the joke.
Design Beyond Breakpoints
"If only designers and developers would understand each other better!" Design and development can be perfect together! Yes, designers and developers must understand each other's tools and engage in constructive dialogue, but modern tools make their life so much easier.
Lately, we have seen incredible advancements in CSS that have the potential to revolutionize the way we approach web design, and Figma — with all its recent updates — has made it much easier for designers to understand and design for all these new things possible.
In her talk, Christine will take you on a Figma tour where she shows you how you can use container queries, variables, and grid, and bring modern CSS to its full potential. So let's be perfect, together!
Christine will also give a workshop on Monday on Figma Deep Dive.
Lunch Break 🍟
Go for a nice stroll in the old center and get some frites, make some new friends and have a wonderful time. Make sure you check out our favorites. We'll also be running a lunch session with SpeedCurve, register a spot!
It’s a Marathon, and a Sprint
Shipping digital products is a work of resilience and discipline. Navigating constraints, company politics, and resistance to change can sometimes feel like a massive, never-ending effort. It is—as the saying goes—comparable to a marathon. But the truth is: it is a marathon and a sprint. There are moments where you need that constant, processual work, and there are moments where you need to go rogue and sprint towards change.
Join Fabricio Teixeira as he shares practical examples of how to circumvent roadblocks to be able to ship products for global brands.
Back FOR the Future
If we only could predict the future. We as designers could solve problems, even before people knew they were problems.
In her talk, Chiara will argue that while we cannot predict the future, we do have a few superpowers that help: Empathy and Imagination. If we combine those with proven storytelling techniques, we can make better products and designs, which do not predict — but actually shape — the future.
Afternoon Break 🍵
Design Ethically: From Imperative to Action
Every product has ethical implications, even if we don’t immediately think so. Thinking about these implications helps to make better products and prevent problems.
In her talk, Kat, creator of the <Design Ethically> project, dives into how she created an ethical design framework for product teams and the lessons she learned from piloting her methodology with teams at various companies and universities across the world.
How can we broaden the tech ethics movement to include individuals, companies, startups, and the entire industry?
Is Atomic Design Dead?
Over the last decade, design systems have taken the world of digital design and development by storm, and Brad's helped dozens of organizations create and evolve their design systems. Along the way, he invented a methodology for creating design systems called Atomic Design. In this talk, Brad will reflect on the past, present, and future of design systems, sharing bumps, bruises, and best practices along the way.
Brad will also be running a workshop on Design Systems.
