Talks
Filling the gap: a deep dive into CSS gap decoration by Patrick Brosset
In this talk, we’ll explore the power of CSS gap decoration, a groundbreaking proposal that introduces the ability to add decorative lines between layout elements. We’ll discuss how this new feature extends gap decoration, which is currently limited to multi-column layouts, to other layout containers like grids, flexboxes, and masonry. Through interactive examples, live coding demos, and real-world case studies, we’ll demonstrate how gap decoration can streamline design workflows and bring flexibility to CSS layout systems.
Creating Meaningful In-person Moments for Distributed Teams by Ellina Morits
Ellina will be taking about how to make the most of in-person time for distributed design teams, ranging from building relationships to improving team morale.
Largest Contentful Paint: Weird And Wonderful by Matt Zeunert

The quirkiness of JavaScript dates by Niklas Gadermann
JavaScript dates are weird: Why do months start at zero? And what kind of a date is ““0(a”“!? We’ll look at some of the quirks JavaScript dates have, how they came to be, how they are dealt with today, and what we can expect to work with in the future using the TC39 Temporal proposal.
