Vitaly

We love it when our speakers do live things: they show how they work — their setup, techniques and shortcuts for getting work done in live interactive sessions. So you can learn from their techniques (and mistakes).

Vitaly, the one who loves ironing, front-end, UX and has tons of crazy ideas.

Visualising News

As the world increasingly seems to get more complex, and more and more information is becoming available, DataViz has gradually become an important element in news reporting. In this talk, Han — who works for one of Hong Kong's leading newspapers — will go into her work process and the tools she and other graphic journalists using to create visual storytelling.

Hidden Data Viz

Not all data visualizations look like data visualizations. Many of our projects may not look very data-y, but look under the hood and it’s there. It's all about using data to communicate ideas that may not be obvious targets for visualization (e.g. suggest music you may like, help you pick an outfit for that wedding, find recipes tailored to your pantry, and create a customized Thanksgiving). In this talk, Condé Nast's Lily Boyce will show how to recognise opportunities to visualise content with data, and how to do that effectively.
