Speakers

Hello, Ni hao, Bonjour and Hello in many other languages.

Join us for about two hours of talks, discussions and questions about Data-vizualization by our amazing speakers. Hosted by Smashing Magazine’s Vitaly Friedman. See you there!

Our speakers…

  • are knowledgeable and experienced,
  • provide practical take-aways and examples you can use in your own projects,
  • show how they work, not just talk about it,
  • can’t wait to share their knowledge ,
  • and are smashingly nice.

  • Han Huang

Han Huang works as a digital graphic designer for South China Morning Post, Hong Kong largest English-language newspaper. She uses maps, data visualisations and photos to cover a range of topics in China and Asia. Before joining SCMP in 2019, she was a Graphic Journalist at Reuters News Agency, where she developed interactive visuals as well as static graphics on current events and financial markets.

  • Lily Boyce

Lily works for Condé Nast as a designer-slash-developer and creates interactive digital experiences for the publisher’s many brands, including Vogue, Pitchfork, Conde Nast Traveler, Architectural Digest, and Epicurious. She lives in Brooklyn, New York.

Lily has always been drawn to the space where art and science collide – as a kid she couldn’t decide whether to be an astronaut or an artist. Like many people in the field, she fell into data visualization sideways after dabbling in fine art, geography, research writing, and graphic design. Lily plays tennis, illustrates letters, and takes an excessive amount of photos everywhere she goes.

  • Vitaly Friedman

Vitaly Friedman loves beautiful content and doesn’t like to give in easily. When he is not writing or speaking at a conference, he’s most probably running front-end/UX workshops and webinars. He loves solving complex UX, front-end and performance problems.
