Speakers

Hallo, Ni hao, Bonjour and Hello in many other languages.

We have a few great speakers on our line up for this event. They are amazing at what they do, and very experienced speakers, so you can get practical tips and tricks from them, while getting inspired and having some fun. See you there!

Our speakers…

  • are knowledgeable and experienced,
  • provide practical takeaways and examples you can use in your own projects,
  • show how they work, not just talk about it,
  • can't wait to share their knowledge,
  • and are smashingly nice.

  • Chris Coyier

Chris Coyier is a prominent web designer, developer, and co-founder of CodePen (a popular social front-end development environment). He is best known for creating the influential CSS-focused educational site CSS-Tricks in 2007, which he ran for 15 years.

Based in Bend, Oregon, Coyier also co-hosts the ShopTalk Show podcast with Dave Rupert, and is a recognized speaker and author on web technologies.

  • Juan Diego Rodriguez

Juan Diego Rodríguez (also known as Monknow) is a front-end developer from Venezuela who loves making beautiful websites with modern technologies but also unironically enjoys building layouts with vanilla HTML and CSS to relax.

  • Lyra Rebane

Lyra Rebane is a security researcher and CSS enthusiast who builds things most people think are impossible. From CSS-only x86 emulators to interactive "CSS crimes," her work explores the limits of the web platform, infosec, and the art of minimal code.

Based in Estonia, she’s a firm believer that the best way to understand a system is to push it until it breaks—and then build something beautiful with the pieces.

  • Geoff Graham

Blogger, teacher and senior editor for Smashing Magazine

Geoff is lead editor and writer at Smashing Magazine. On top of that, he’s an independent contractor who teaches front-end design and development classes on the side. Geoff loves reading and writing about the web while helping others become better at all things front-end.
