Chris Heilmann has dedicated a lot of his time making the web better. Originally coming from a radio journalism background, he built his first web site from scratch around 1997 and spent the following years working on lots of large, international web sites. Before joining Microsoft's Edge Team recently, he worked at Yahoo and was Developer Evangelist at Mozilla for quite some time.
Chris wrote and contributed to six books on web development and wrote many articles and hundreds of blog posts for Ajaxian, Smashing Magazine, Yahoo, Mozilla, ScriptJunkie and many more.
As people working with web technologies and on the web we've reached a stage where we should be happy with how things turned out for us. Instead, we seem to be unhappy a lot and chasing our own tail trying to solve problems that actually only exist for ourselves. Time to take stock and see what we do to make ourselves more grumpy than we should be and what we could concentrate on instead.
