As the effects of COVID-19 are still so wide-reaching throughout the world, Smashing cannot proceed with the in-person events in 2020. However, we’re thrilled to present the Austin conference online, combined with the NYC programming on October 13–14, and we’d love to see you there!
Already have an in-person ticket? Here’s what that means for you.
Workshops
Conference sessions are one thing, but full-day hands-on workshops are an entirely different beast. On the day before and on the day after the conference, you can dive deep into your topic of interest: be it Smart Responsive UX Design Patterns or Next Steps With CSS Layout.
We have announced five workshops, we will announce three more soon!
Join one of the hands-on workshops with a limited number of seats. Tickets for the full-day workshops cost $499 — all booking fees included.
If you buy a combo ticket, you will save USD 100 and get access to three days of world-class of workshop learning and our Smashing conference experience. Lunch will be provided on both workshop days.
Workshops include…
- Snacks and drinks during the whole day
- Tea and coffee
- Lunch
- Paper and pen/pencil
There’s more content in this 1 day SVG workshop than in some 3 day courses. Brilliant job @SaraSoueidan! #smashingconf

Join Miriam for a deep-dive into the heart of CSS: how it works, what makes it special, and how we can harness it for resilient and maintainable design systems that scale. Rather than learning a single convention or toolkit, you’ll learn the fundamentals that all conventions share – how to think with CSS, and make smart decisions for your own project. -
