For the workshops, we’re using Zoom.us. We’ve tried a couple of solutions in the past, and Zoom.us turned out to be the best compromise in terms of quality, reliability and accessibility.
To join in, please install the Zoom client for Meetings, which is available for all the main OSs. It may take a little time to download and install, so please get it ahead of time. If not, you can also use your browser, but the quality might not be as reliable.
How Does It Work? 5 Simple Steps
The registration and joining are very straightforward. In many ways, it's similar to on-site workshops, but we'd like to encourage you to be online at least 15 mins before we start, so we can get to know each other first.
- Check your confirmation email.
Once you've purchased a ticket, you'll receive a confirmation email with the workshop URLs. If something goes wrong, please reach out at firstname.lastname@example.org, and we'll help you right away.
- Follow the URL in the confirmation email.
Please provide correct email to download recordings and get timely notifications.
- Install the Zoom.us client.
The client is available for all the main OSs. You'll be able to join without installation (follow the URL in the confirmation email), but the app is a bit more reliable.
- Check your workshop requirements.
Usually a laptop, paper and pens/pencils should be enough. Your workshop description will provide further details for sure!
- Secure a good Internet connection.
We want you to have a great learning experience, so please ensure that you have a good connection during the workshops.
- Please join us on time.
We'd like to start on time, so please get your coffee, settle in, and get started!
We sincerely hope that you'll have a wonderful learning experience. Please let us know if we could improve something by sending an email at email@example.com.
Meow and thank you! ❤️
