In this quick course, we will put all these pieces together, and we will show you why Storyblok — in combination with Next.js — is the best combo for your next project. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to:

  • In-depth Jamstack knowledge. How it changed from old times to the modern world. Learn how Jamstack was created by comparing Static Sites and Dynamic Sites.
  • How Next.js’ serves content, and learn how content is served with Static Site Generation (SSG).
  • Headless architecture through comparing it with the monolithic approach.
  • In-depth Atomic design methodology, and how this is applied to the content management system.
  • Hands-on project experience by building a Jamstack project with Next.js and Storyblok.

Who is this workshop for?

Developers working with CMSs who are considering transitioning into the Jamstack approach. This workshop is also for anyone who wants to improve the performance and security of their website, speed up the creation of content, or develop an application on different devices.

What hardware/software do you need?

Prerequisite(s): Node.js installed, GitHub account.
Recommended Knowledge: Brief familiarity with React, Next.js, and Git.

About Arisa and Facundo

Arisa is a DevRel Engineer at Storyblok & an organizer of a free tech skill & knowledge-sharing community, Lilac. Her mission is to learn, speak, connect and help. In her spare time, she is an Aikido fighter, GirlCode ambassador, GDE, and a Front-End-Foxes School mentor.

Facundo is a Developer Relations Engineer at Storyblok. From Buenos Aires, Argentina, he has more than 15 years of experience in software development. He graduated as a Systems Engineer. He loves engaging with the dev community, speaking at events and conferences, and creating and sharing content. He has been selected Prisma Ambassador, Auth0 Ambassador, and Cloudinary Media Developer Expert.

Day 1: Covering The Base

On the first day, we will dive into the necessary skills. From covering Jamstack knowledge to learning how Next.js serves content. And we’ll learn about Headless architecture and Atomic design.

Day 2: Let’s Start Building!
