In this hands-on workshop we’ll take a sample responsive website, understand its performance issues, and make it faster and faster over a series of labs. It’ll help you understand RWD's performance concerns, gaining experience in multiple important tools.

It’ll also give you a hands on appreciation of the different ways you can tackle each concern, including the pros, cons and implementation gotchas of each. With these tools, you can be Responsive & Fast!

  • Get familiar with multiple performance testing tools
  • Get familiar with multiple (free and premium) tools that can help make RWD faster

What should you bring?

A laptop with a reasonably modern browser. Bonus points for having both Chrome & Firefox installed. A tablet may work if you are comfortable typing on it. The workshop MAY require an SSH or FTP client, still not finalized.

Who is it for?

Pretty much anybody slightly technical, including web developers & testers interested in RWD, as well as designers with basic HTML knowledge.
