Interested in getting even more out of your Smashing experience? Our amazing friends SpeedCurve, Wix, Supernova.io and Storyblok, are hosting a session to let you know more about what they do and how their solutions can help your day-to-day work! Their session is free, and only have 35 spots available.

At lunch time, just follow one of the volunteers in the red shirts. Grab some lunch, settle in, and listen to the talk filled with practical examples. The sessions will be 40 minutes, so you will still have time to relax and mingle after the session.

Wix Headless and Codux — Breaking New Grounds

Join Amanda and Tom to hear about Wix’s new offerings for developers! Amanda will introduce our latest release, Wix Headless, and what developers should prepare for when considering building this type of project. Following Tom who will present Codux, our new stand alone Visual IDE for React. You will learn how Codux’s visual interface enables quickly finding your way around an unfamiliar codebase, making changes with confidence, while reducing the risk of unintended consequences.

Amanda Martin Amanda is a developer advocate for Wix and Open Source enthusiast supporting the EddieHub Community. She had worked previously in web and software development all over the stack. At her core, she is a creative problem solver and passionate developer hype squad. Seeing developers win is her primary motivation. In her free time you can find her spoiling her dog, cycling, and testing new recipes.

Tom Raviv Tom Raviv is head of DevRel at Codux. He’s an experienced developer with over a decade at Wix.com, where he helped establish the Wix R&D Academy and organized multiple community events, including the “You Gotta Love Frontend” conferences. Later, he led the development of Stylable, an open-source CSS toolchain for components.

In the workshop ‘Managing the Design Systems Health: The Role of Custom Properties’, we delve into the integral role that custom properties play in maintaining and improving the ‘health’ of design systems. Over the course of one hour, participants will be guided through the process of identifying, tracking, and leveraging these properties to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency of their design systems. We will use Figjam for interactive activities, we advise you to bring a laptop.

Jan Toman is the Director of Design at Supernova.io, a tool for documenting, managing, and automating design systems.

He has a diverse background in digital, starting as an engineer and then moving into product management before finally settling in design and design systems.
